Dr. Kirlin was born and raised in New Jersey, just outside Philadelphia. When he finished his residency training, he moved to Gastonia and founded the practice in 1984. He and his wife Nan have three grown daughters- Becca, Hanna and Maddie.
In order to give back to the community, Dr. Kirlin has become involved in politics as a city councilman and enjoys serving the public in this fashion. His other interests include racquetball, hiking, kayaking, traveling, and photography. He enjoys lecturing to civic organizations on podiatric health topics and is available to speak on a variety of current topics.
